Introduction

Overall responsibility to provide leadership, coordination and direction to Kenchic Ltd. Suppliers, in terms of Quality Assurance and ensure Kenchic Limited maintains its high level of food safety compliance in order to assure that the organization gains sustainable competitive advantage by aggressively pursuing excellence in quality.
 

Minimum Requirements

  1. Degree in food science
  2. MBA an added advantage
  3. Lead auditor in ISO 22000 and FSSC will be an added advantage
  4. 7-15yrs experience
  5. Must have worked in a food industry/FMCG
  6. Between 30-40 yrs. old
  7. Preferable female

 

Job Specification

  1. Ensure planned KPI’s of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded in terms of Quality Assurance and food safety.
  2. Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals.
  3. Ensure complete compliance to prescribe QMS, GMP’s processes in accordance with food safety.
  4. Setting the quality standards.
  5. Monitoring product standards and implementing quality control programs.
  6. Maintenance of international hygiene standards affecting all aspects of operation at Kenchic Ltd., Contract farmers and Suppliers.
  7. Responsible for identifying, establishing, training and implementing all appropriate procedures and practices necessary to comply with FSSC ISO 22000 and Star requirements , including Government regulations.
  8. Identify, develop and implement Microbiological process controls and monitoring programs.
  9. Responsible for Documentation of procedures and Work Instructions of the company.
  10. Develop and continuously assesses supplier performance through Supplier Management Quality Program.
  11. Responsible for implementing and managing cleaning and sanitation programs
  12. Responsible for ensuring all regulatory issues are adhered to by liaising with KEBS, NEMA and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance (in coordination with the Factory Manager).
  13. Promote and enforce quality as a most important value in the organization by training of personnel  and ensuring quality products according to company and customer specifications
  14. Training personnel on procedures, continuous improvement activities and general quality awareness.
  15. Pro active in self assessing against EOHS, Quality industry standards and Government regulations.
  16. Responsible for taking corrective actions in timely manner to mitigate potential food safety hazards. Handling food safety related customer complaints and resolution.
  17. Responsible for the development of the department’s budget and effective costing.
  18. Participating in any other duties that shall be reasonably assigned by Management from time to time.
